| The M40 155 mm Gun Motor Carriage was deployed by the United States Army late in in the Second World War, against the city of Cologne. The British received a number of vehicles as well after World War II. It had a crew of eight and was based on a Sherman M4A3 chassis with a different engine and a special suspension. | |
