The photo was taken from the aircraft carrier USS Wasp (CV-7). According to Barker´s deck log she arrived in Nukualofa Harbour at 0806 Hours on Jully 21, 1942 and moored alongside the oiler USS Kanawha (AO-1) to refuel. At 1124 Hours she got underway and left the harbor, on her way to Pearl Harbor. | |
