| The Gosudarstvennyy arkhiv Rossiyskoy (“State Archives of the Russian Federation”) claimed this skull was from Führer und Reichskanzler (“Leader and Reichchancellor”) Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 – April 30, 1945). However, in 2009, University of Connecticut Archaeologist Nick Bellantoni (born October 13, 1948) examined the skull and determined it was from a woman 20 to 40 years old. The skull fragment could have come from Hitler’s mistress, and later wife, Eve Braun (February 6, 1912 – April 30, 1945); but to know that, the lab would need samples of her Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA). Also, the DNA samples were very degraded, making identification unlikely. | |
