USS Honolulu (CL-48) In a south Pacific port, probably during the spring of 1944. Her camouflage is Measure 32, Design 2C. USS Honolulu was painted in Measure 32, Design 2C on November 12, 1943, at Mare Island. On July 13, 1943, USS Honolulu was torpedoed during the Battle of Kolombangara. The ship was temporarily patched and sent to Pearl Harbor for repairs; they fitted a temporary bow. The ship was sent to Mare Island for drydocking and permanent rebuild. Measure 32, Design 2C was applied there.
