| Crowds adore Führer Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 – April 30, 1945) as he greets them from the back of Mercedes 770K. The 5th Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP (“National Socialist German Workers’ Party”) Congress was held in Nuremberg from August 30 – September 3, 1933. It was called the Reichsparteitag des Sieges (“Rally of Victory”). The term “victory” relates to the Nazi seizure of power and the victory over the Weimar Republic. The Leni Riefenstahl film Der Sieg des Glaubens was made at this rally. Hitler announced that from then on all rallies would take place in Nuremberg. This view was printed in Deutschland Erwacht, a commemorative book of the Machtübernahme (“Seizure of power”) in January 1933 of the Party’s rise to power and the adolation of Adolf Hitler. | |
