Enlisted in the United States Army on December 17, 1943, he landed on Okinawa on April 1, 1945, and was wounded on April 20, 1945. His recovery took 5 months. After recovery and discharge, Slagle lived in California and worked for General Electric and General Dynamics before starting his own company, Ultra-Dynamics. | |
