| Lacking cold weather gear, through windy winter weather, a group of Nazi German soldaten (“soldiers”) march to surrender across a snow-covered field near Moscow. The still carry their Karabiner 98k rifles. Some wear knit caps under their helmets. 1 soldat carries a Panzerbüchse 39 (PzB 39; “Tank Hunting Rifle Model 39”), a 7.92 millimeter (.32 caliber) anti-tank rifler. At the beginning of Operation Barbarossa, 25,298 PzB 39 were in use by German troops. Total production from March 1940 to November 1941, when production ceased, was 39,232 rifles.
