| SS-Obergruppenführer Julius Schaub (August 20, 1898 – December 27, 1967) Aide and Adjutant to Adolf Hitler, and Führer und Reichskanzler (“Leader and Reich Chancellor”) Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 – April 30, 1945) observe the ruins of the chancellery. This is supposedly the last photo taken of Hitler. On the occasion of his birthday, after receiving and dismissing the officials of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP; “National Socialist German Workers’ Party”) and visiting soldiers of the 10th Schutzstaffel (SS) Panzer Division, . Hitlerjugend, and representatives of the Kurland Army, Hitler left the Tiefbunker (Führerbunker) again, walked through he Vorbunker (“Upper Bunker”) to the Alte Reichskanzlei (“Old Reich Chancellery”). From the terrace in front of his room, he looks down on his destroyed official residence. Hitler is photographed in the destroyed dining room on the ground floor. This view shows Schaub and Hitler at the entrance to the Winter Garden. 700 Red Air Force aircraft bomb the north of Berlin that night, and heavy Red Army shelling begins at 0930 Hours on April 21.
