| United States Navy doctors and corpsmen administer to wounded United States Marines at a first aid station. Navy Chaplain Lieutenant (Junior Grade) John H. Galbreath (April 6, 1920 – January 23, 2006), right center, is kneeling beside a man who has severe flash burns, received in an artillery battery 50 yards or so away. Galbreath attended Westminster College and was ordained at Mercer Presbyterian in Wilmington, Pennsylvania, in February 1944.
