| Piles of corpses outside the crematorium in Buchenwald. The Seizième Bataillon de Fusiliers Belges (“Sixteenth Battalion of Belgian Riflemen”) attached to the United States 1st Army, arrived at Buchenwald Konzentrationslager (“Concentration Camp”) on April 16, 1945. Jules Rouard (???? – ????) took photos of the camp, along with other American soldiers. The corpses outside the crematorium remained for weeks, and were widely seen and photographed by delegations from Britain and the United States.
