Hospital beds line the walls of the Annexe level. The wounded from the Normandy invasion came here, as well as pilots from the Battle of Britain and sailors sunk outside Dover Harbor. I've overexposed the image so you can see the beds. Right-click and choose "view image" to enlarge.
