Letters from Iwo Jima has been nominated for 4 Oscars©

Another 32 images were updated. They were mostly about Adolf Hitler and prewar Germany. A lot of them were also from the Iwo Jima image gallery.

Another 44 images, all across different topics on the website, have been updated. This involved researching the photo and updating it as to date, location, and historical accuracy. Hopefully in 2007 I will be able to finish the updates and post a new online photo gallery with searchable keywords.

As the World War II Multimedia Database enters its seventh year of operation, a big thank you to all the people who write in with corrections. There's a number of mistakes, well intentioned but inaccurate, and as I work through the photos, I will soon get to the essays, hopefully this year.

Today's update is a name for Baz Luhrmann's upcoming saga on sheep and the Japanese bombing of Darwin in 1942. The film is called Australia.
