Gang of Tugs

Beyond this fire boat, you can see all the tugs concentrating their towing power on the stern line. This is probably when the Intrepid's mooring stauncheons started to give.

The Intrepid Museum waited a month before trying to move her again, until after the US Navy dredged out a new channel for the ship.
