The ship's pharmacy was called the Science Room. Here drugs would be mixed for the medical staff. Scroungers would also beg, borrow or steal drugs for non-medicinal uses, but if they were caught, they might go to the brig.
I believe the ship's store of rum would be kept here also, but I might be wrong. In tropical climates, this office would also administer the quinine or other anti-malarials.
