These enlisted men, wearing flash protection from fires, ares shown at their stations as if it was December 26, 1943, when HMS Belfast participated in the Battle of North Cape. They are monitoring the Type 284 radar that tracked the surface targets encountered by HMS Belfast. In 1944 she recieved the Type 274 radar she has today.
