M40 155mm Gun Motor Carriage

The M40 was deployed by the United States Army late in in the Second World War, against the city of Cologne. The British received a number of vehicles as well after World War II. It had a crew of eight and was based on a Sherman M4A3 chassis with a different engine and a special suspension. Right-click and choose "view image" to enlarge.
