Another update today from my trip to England in February 2006. Today's update are photos of the naval displays at the RAF Duxford museum, part of the Imperial War Museum. Why an RAF museum has boats, I don't know. But they’re there, and they’re spectacular!

Today’s update is an off-site story about a Japanese soldier captured during the Russian invasion of Sakhalin island in August 1945. He ended up in the Ukraine of all places and is returning to Japan today.
This story not only highlights the thousands of Japanese who didn’t return to the home islands after World War II, is shows that World War II still impacts everyday lives around the world.

Today's update - a photo essay of the artillery around Dover Castle in England. Called “Hellfire’s Corner” during the war, Dover was involved in heavy combat between German air and artillery units from France and RAF and Coastal Artillery in England.

Finally! A new post after a long absence. Sorry about that - family matters take place over website updates.

Today’s update involves Clint Eastwood’s new movie, Red Sun, Black Sand. That’s the new title for what was previously called Lamps in the Wind.
