De Havilland TT Mk.35 Mosquito
|
|
TA719, a film star (633 Squadron and Mosquito Squadron) served as a target tug until 1956. The Mosquito is one of my favorite planes, almost never leaving the drawing board because of a lack of metal for construction. Nicknamed the "Wooden Wonder" it served as a pathfinder, anti-shipping, and even as a fighter. Its high speed was a record for a time. There were many different variants with many different weapons packages in both figher and bomber configurations. Right-click and choose "view image" to enlarge.
